Georgina Wolfe successful in obtaining an interim Risk of Sexual Harm Order

Georgina Wolfe was today successful in obtaining an interim Risk of Sexual Harm Order (a ‘RoSHO’) under s.126 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003. 

These orders are extremely rare and this is one of the first orders of this kind since the legislation came into force in 2004.

RoSHOs were introduced in order to prevent sexual harm to children under the age of 16 and are specifically aimed at preventing the grooming of children by paedophiles.  RoSHOs originated from the work of the Home Office Task Force on Child Protection on the Internet which identified a gap in the law concerning grooming.     

Georgina has also previously represented police forces in a number of successful applications for Sexual Offences Prevention Orders.
