Amy Clarke

Background:
Amy began pupillage in October 2011 and is currently being supervised by Anne Studd QC, focussing on Police law. Amy was initially supervised by James Arnold, with whom she gained experience in Employment law.
Amy has previously worked as a Parliamentary Researcher in the House of Commons. The research she undertook focussed on restorative justice and the prevention of re-offending rates. During her legal studies, Amy volunteered on the Streetlaw prisons project, conducting workshops at Pentonville and Wormwood Scrubs. She also worked on the Liberty letter writing campaign dealing with queries from the public on employment and data protection matters and carried out research for the International Bar Association Human Rights unit on the death penalty in the US. Shortly before being called to the Bar, Amy was a finalist in the inter-Inn mooting competition, representing Middle Temple.
In the year leading up to pupillage, Amy worked at Osbornes LLP as a paralegal in the personal injury department and gained experience in road traffic accidents, Occupiers Liability and Employers Liability matters. She has also appeared in a successful claim for unfair dismissal on behalf of the Free Representation Unit.
Academic:
Amy read Politics at Leeds University and graduated in 2007.
She then completed the GDL and BVC, (Very Competent) and was called to the Bar by Middle Temple in 2010, after being awarded the Anglo American Scholarship.
Interests:
Amy’s interests include skiing and travel.
